How to supply goods and services
Rugby World Cup 2011 is considered the third largest sporting event in the world today. After the FIFA World Cup and the Olympic Games, no other global occasion commands the same interest in terms of television audiences, spectator numbers, travelling supporters, corporate support, retail sales and media interest - the 2011 Tournament has an estimated four billion cumulative broadcast reach.
Staging this incredible event is going to take a lot of doing, and there are many opportunities to work on Rugby World Cup 2011 between now and the Tournament’s end.
Within the Northland region, the two epicentres of activity focussed on team and game hosting will be the Bay of Islands and Whāngārei.
The Tournament however is bigger than simply accommodating teams and the games taking place at the venues. In Northland this can be seen in the table below.
