Venture Group

Venture Group provides consulting and contracting services in social research, workplace literacy, and skills training and professional development to the public, private and not-for-profit sectors.

Venture is registered by the New Zealand Qualifications Authority as a Private Training Establishment under the provisions of the Education Act 1989 and its subsequent amendments.

There are three spheres of activity:

  • Venture Consulting encompasses Venture Group’s core social research work – policy analysis; project management; action plans; and evaluation
  • Venture Literacy manages Venture Group’s work on literacy and numeracy including: workplace-based literacy, language and numeracy; ESOL training; pre-employment literacy and numeracy; workplace communication; and literacy strategies
  • Knowledge Ventures is Venture Group’s training and development arm co-ordinating professional development seminars and workshops. Workshops that have been run to date are on topics such as: project management; effective business writing; strategic planning; effective verbal communication; oral history training; report writing; developing successful sponsorship relations; effective business writing
